MWIR (Mid-Wave Infrared, 3–5μm) cameras are specialized imaging devices designed for thermal radiation detection. By capturing the mid-wave infrared energy emitted by objects themselves, these cameras convert the temperature distribution of a target into a visual image. Unlike visible light or SWIR imaging, MWIR imaging does not rely on reflected ambient light. It enables clear imaging under conditions of complete darkness, fog, smoke, and certain types of camouflage, allowing for direct observation of thermal signatures and precise temperature measurement.
Attostek offers a comprehensive range of MWIR solutions, from complete thermal imaging cameras and core modules to full imaging systems. Our portfolio includes cooled detectors based on Mercury Cadmium Telluride (MCT), Indium Antimonide (InSb), and high-performance Type-II Superlattice (T2SL) materials. Available resolutions span multiple specifications such as 2048 x 2048, 1280 x 1024, and 640 x 512. The cameras support various interfaces including GigE, USB 3.0, and CameraLink, and come with software offering not only basic control but also multiple image processing and enhancement functions such as AGC and BPR.
